Privacy Policy

Effective October 8, 2026 · Updated October 23, 2026

The short version: Pillow Chop collects nothing about you. The game has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind, and it does not send your information to us or to anyone else. The rest of this page spells that out, and the About page says why.

The game

Pillow Chop for iPhone does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal information. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software from us or from any third party, and it does not ask for your name, email address, contacts, location or microphone. If you choose to save a painting from the game's gallery, iOS will ask whether the game may add that one picture to your photo library; the game cannot see or read your photos.

From version 1.1, the optional Room Service feature uses your iPhone's camera to show the hotel's furniture standing in your own room. iOS asks your permission first. The camera's picture is used live on your iPhone to find the floor and draw the furniture over it; it is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere. Declining only means Room Service is unavailable.

The game also reads your iPhone's calendar date and region setting (the country chosen in Settings, not your location) so the hotel can occasionally dress for a holiday. This is worked out on your iPhone and never leaves it.

Everything the game remembers is kept on your own device and is never sent to us: your settings, your badges and milestones, your ledger of inspected lobbies, the paintings you have viewed, and the lobby you are in the middle of. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Apple's Game Center, the game reports your achievements and your lobby scores to it, so they can appear on your Game Center profile and on the leaderboards, where other players can see your Game Center nickname and score. This goes to Apple, not to us, and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We never receive your Apple Account details or any list of players.

Game Center is optional. The game plays the same without it, and you can sign out in the Settings app under Game Center.

This website

pillowchop.app sets no cookies and loads no trackers, analytics, advertising or content from other companies' servers.

Like any website, it cannot be delivered without your device's IP address reaching the computers that send it. The site is served through Cloudflare, which handles each request on our behalf under its own privacy policy, and our web server keeps a standard access log (IP address, time, the page requested, and the browser's description of itself). The log is used only to keep the server running and secure. It is not combined with anything else or shared with anyone.

If you write to us

If you send us email, we receive your address and whatever you choose to say, and use them only to reply. Our mail is hosted by Fastmail. We do not add you to any list.

Children

Pillow Chop is suitable for all ages, and because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If the game ever began collecting anything, this page would say so before it did.
